The Book of Kells, the most precious illuminated manuscript of the early Middle Ages, now reproduced, the first and only complete facsimile, published by Authority of the Board of Trinity College, Dublin. Large folio, Luzern 1990, Number 1,424 of 1,480, fine white tawed leather over wooden boards. Contained in a specially created presentation box, the embossed surface with blind & gilt tooled Celtic decoration and silver and brass mounts. Together with a large Commentary Volume, by Anton von Euw and Peter Fox, with illustrations, leather backed cloth.
