One of three distinct editions of 1589, this copy conforming with Herbert 199 which is itself a close reprint of the 1581 edition of the Geneva Bible. The Book of Psalms at the rear with the imprint of Richard Day, 1588. Notes in one or more early hands in margins. Herbert 199. Lot Amendments Condition: Boards worn, endpapers replaced when rebound; a few leaves with chips and short tears, front free endpaper and a few adjacent leaves detached, foxing; very good.
