The Autocar. 34 bound volumes in mixed bindings, mostly sound but some with wear or cracked hinges, commencing with Volume LXVI, No. 1835 (Friday, January 2nd 1931) and ending with Volume XCII, No. 2721 (Friday, December 26th, 1947), the only issues missing are those for October to December 1937 and for the WWII years, October 1939 to December 1943 inclusive, the issues for 1932 are bound with their covers and advertisements; those from January 1933 to June 1937 inclusive are in the standard green publisher’s bindings with gilt banding/lettering, without the magazine covers/advertisements but with indices (the last in photocopy, loosely inserted), as are the 1944 to 1947 volumes, the volume entitled LXXIX July-December 1937 only actually holds the issues for July to September, but with covers/ advertisements, and has a broken front hinge. Volume LXXX (Jan to June 1938) is again in the standard green binding, with index for the year, but without covers or advertisements, however, the issues from April to June 1938 are duplicated in a further bound volume, this time with covers/advertisements, this format continuing up to and including Volume LXXXIII No. 2291 (Friday, Sep 29th, 1939), with index, as ever, prospective purchasers are advised to check carefully for any internal damage, missing pages, etc..
