Being resolved that no Communication shall be open between the Castle and Town of Edinburgh, during our residence in this capital .... Broadside, 4° (207 x 174mm). (Frail.) An order, forbidding egress without a pass 'upon pain of death,' signed at end: 'By His Highness's Command ... J. Murray ' Dated: 2nd October, 1745. NATURALLY RARE. Only 3 copies located in ESTC. -- Journal of the Marches of His Royal Highness the Prince Regent's Army, from the time they entered England, the 8th of November, till their return to Scotland, the 20th of December, 1745 . This Italian printing includes Sheridan's account of the battle of Falkirk on January 17 against Lieut.-General Henry Hawley, an indication of the strong Roman Catholic interest in the progress of the uprising; it was to prove the last victory of Jacobitism. -- An Authentic Account of the Battle fought between the Army under his Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland and the Rebels on Drummossie Muir near Culloden, on the 16th April 1746 . [Edinburgh: 1746]. 2°. 4p. Drop-head title. (Stained, small repairs to second leaf.) Disbound. Dated: Edinburgh, April 23. Also includes 'A return of the rebel officers and soldiers now prisoners in Inverness 19th April 1746.' RARE. ESTC records two editions, both folio, one of 8p. (6 copies), and the present edition of 4p. (2 copies, Bodleian and Aberdeen University). These five titles form a rare group, only one in Macbean; and 9 others similar, including two proclamations by 'Charles Prince of Wales, &c,' one in duplicate. (14)
