Vols. 1-3 only (ex 5). 3 vols., folio, 465 x 315mm. (18 1/4 x 12 1/4in.), contemporary purple patterned morocco gilt, worn, covers of vol. 3 detached, some dampstaining, principally to text of vol. 1 but also affecting upper margins of plates of vol. 3, occasional minor soiling or faint foxing to a few plates, a few plate numerals cropped and engravers' names shaved. 150 colored plates only (ex 250), numbered I-CL and bound I-L, LI-C, CI-CC at the end of each volume, stipple-engraved, printed in colors and finished by hand, after Federigo Dehnhardt and Giuseppe Lettieri by Carlo and Raffaele Biondi, Carlo Cantaneo, Clener, Raffaele Estevan, Antonio Pinto, Nicco Ricci and Luigi Vocaturo.
