Foster, contemporary speckled calf, rebacked and one corner repaired, slightly scuffed, folio (Wing T287), together with Blackmore (Richard), Prince Arthur. An Heroick Poem, London: Awnsham & John Churchil, 1695, light spotting mostly to title, bookplate of William Orme Foster to upper pastedown, near contemporary speckled calf, upper board near detached, spine rubbed and worn, folio, plus [Oldmixon, John], The History of England, during the Reigns of the Royal House of Stuart..., London: John Pemberton Richard Ford Richard Hett, John Gray & Thomas Cox, 1730, title in red & black with ink name stamp W. Foster and scribbled through signature at head, some dust-soiling and spotting mostly to first & last few leaves, bookplate of W.H. Foster to upper pastedown, late 19th century half calf gilt, maroon leather title label, joints cracked at head & foot, folio, and Lyttelton (George), The History of the Life of King Henry the Second, and of the age in which he lived..., to which is prefixed a history of the revolutions of England from the death of Edward the Confessor to the birth of Henry the Second, 4 volumes, London: W. Dodsley, 1767, occasional scattered spotting, endpapers renewed with Apley Library bookplate to upper pastedowns, contemporary calf, rebacked, 4to, plus one other (Qty: 8) William Orme Foster (1814-1899) was an iron & coalmaster and the owner of the industrial firm John Bradley & Co. He served as a Liberal MP for South Staffordshire from 1857 until 1868.
