Contemp. vellum (upper corner def.), flat spine (sm. lack of vellum). Fourth ed. (first by the French mathematician D. Henrion (d. 1632). Ill. with one double-page engr. pl. showing the sector and several woodcuts in-text. Despite the title, the instrument described in modern terminology is correctly called the sector credited to Galilei though claimed by Henrion as an invention of his own.
