Title: Suppressed Franklin Mint Tiger Woods Eyewitness Commemorative Medal Author: ** Place: Franklin Mint, PA Publisher: Franklin Mint Date: 1997 Description: Sterling silver medallion, 1½" diameter. Housed in the original plastic display case with stand, and original box. The Franklin Mint issued this medal as a part of their "Eyewitness Medal Series" in commemoration of Woods' victory in the 1997 Masters Golf Tournament. The Woods enterprise brought suit over the use of Tiger's likeness and indicating that the Franklin Mint medal was "low end merchandise of the type which Tiger Woods does not wish to associate himself". Woods was successful in suppressing distribution of the medal. The present example is one of only a few that were sold before the judgment was given. Lot Amendments Condition: Fine.
