Castle, a member of the American Protestant Mission, and printed in the Hawaiian Spectator and elsewhere” (Forbes 1243). Both Castle and Rev. Artemas Bishop attribute the authorship to American Consul J.C. Jones. The woodcuts have been attributed to Jules Dudoit. Rare. See illustration.
