Superbly illustrated ornithology, wherein over 700 species and varieties of North American birds are represented, with a "popular account of their habits and characteristics." The second volume consists of Alfred Brehm's Ornithology; or the Science of Birds. "Studer's Birds," while not as famous today as the works of John J.
