With relief illustration of 5 golfers and 2 caddies, as wells as decorative elements, highlighted with blue paint. Marked on bottom with the company hallmark and the number 021 GES.GESCH. A jug complete with a stopper is quite a rare find, as the stoppers are usually lost. A similar jug is pictured in Sprung, Decorative Golf Collectibles, pp. 18. "Simon Peter Gerz founded his stoneware and porcelain factory in 1857. Still in business today, the Gerz factory is presently located a few miles from Hohr-Grenzhausen, Germany."
