Powerfully modelled seated on a shaped rocky plinth, its rear legs folded and its front legs resting on cloven hooves, supporting the sturdy upper body with its crested spine, a pair of elaborate wings set on the shoulders flanking a large head resting on a squat neck, the large mouth open and revealing fierce fangs, the tufted cheeks below a snub nose and large protuberant eyes beneath a pair of tall curled horns, covered overall with a lustrous green, straw and amber glaze.
