Lower left of frame marked in a single line STARR ARMS Co NEW YORK and lower right side of frame marked STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15, 1856. Sub-inspected throughout, both grips with weak, illegible cartouches. Matching serial numbers on the lower front of the frame, on the hammer cut out in the frame and on the cylinder.
