Silver pin of "Special Night Squads", commanded by Orde Charles Wingate [1938-1939]. The pin depicts a crouching lion on a small stage with the initials "P.L.M." ("Palgot HaLayla HaMeyuchdot"), a moto-ribbon with the initial "S.N.S." and two crossed swords. The Special Night Squads were a British army unit commanded by Orde Charles Wingate, in which both British soldiers and Jewish guards (Notrim) served together. It was established in June 1938 and dismantled in July 1939 due to the pro-Zionist attitudes expressed by Wingate. 2X1.5 cm pin (without clasp or locking bar). Good condition.
