Some Like It Hot, 1959/Marilyn Monroe A collection of previously unpublished black and white snap-shots and colour slides taken at Coronado Beach, California, during the filming of Some Like It Hot , 1958, the collection comprises approximately 55 black and white snap-shots and photographs, one signed in blue ballpoint pen by Tony Curtis and approximately 46 colour 35mm slides, (some duplicates), black and white shots include: a close-up shot of Marilyn Monroe in a bathing costume outside the cabanas on the beach; Monroe walking across the beach in a bath robe; Jack Lemmon in costume as Daphne; Janet Leigh watching the filming; and Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis relaxing between takes, majority -- 5x4in. (12.7x10.2cm.) or 8x10in. (20.3x25.4cm.) , colour shots include: Tony Curtis as Osgood Fielding and Monroe as Sugar Kane on the beach; Monroe and other members of the cast and crew relaxing between takes; Jack Lemmon in costume as Daphne; a pregnant Janet Leigh on set with Tony Curtis; on-lookers watching the filming; and shots of the hotel, beachfront and surrounding area (a lot)
