Condition: tissue repairs to tears on verso, chipping with some loss to corners. Provenance: Martin P. Snyder. This aquatint depicts an unnamed fire company engaged in a firefight near Independence Hall that has engulfed the four-story building of Fores Dry Goods. The central image appears on a screen rolled out by two flanking firemen, who hold a hose and pump-handle in their other hands. Snyder MOA, 336.
