SIX GEORGE II SILVER MEAT DISHES ONE SMALL DISH WITH MARK OF JOSEPH SANDERS, LONDON, 1745; TWO LARGE DISHES WITH MARK OF THOMAS GILPIN LONDON, 1749 (ONE WITH DATE-LETTER INDISTINCT); ONE SMALL DISH WITH MARK OF EDWARD FELINE LONDON, 1751; TWO RESHAPED, APPARENTLY UNMARKED Each shaped oblong with gadrooned borders and engraved with two coats-of-arms, in three sizes, marked underneath, further engraved underneath with No. 37, 70=5, No. 32, 70=5, No. 29, 52=16, No. 24, 37=3, No. 22, 27=16½, No. 123, 36=5 20 ½ in. (52 cm.); 17 in. (43 cm.); 14 ½ in. (37 cm.) wide 276 oz. 16 dwt. (8,612 gr.) The arms are those of Bathurst quartering others impaling Scawen, for Henry, 2nd Baron Bathurst (1714-1794) and his second wife Tryphenia (d. 1807), daughter of Thomas Scawen, whom he married in 1759.
