Carved from a single specimen of bi-color beryl (pink morganite and aquamarine), depicting the seated mermaid, the upper body rendered from the pink areas of the morganite polished with a matte finish to suggest skin. The lower body rendered from the aquamarine portion of the rough rendered with bright polish, showing her semi-submerged in water, carved from the natural blue areas of the aquamarine. Signed on the polish black onyx free-form base, signed AS for Andrea Sohne. Mermaid weighing 131.40 grams and measuring 7.5 x 6.5 x 6.0 cm. Height with removable base 9 cm (2)
