Note: 
Henrietta Garnett was a writer and the daughter of David and Angelica Garnett the daughter of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant The present work is stylistically similar to a portrait made by Duncan Grant of Henrietta c.1960 that most recently sold at Christie's in 2018. 
Eileen Hose was Beaton's secretary and inherited many of his work upon his death. She bequeathed a large number of items to museums including the V & A, London.
