Single illuminated folio from a large 16th cent Qur'an, including the 4 closing verses of Surah Al-Noor (24) and the oppening 9 verses of Surah Al-Furqan (25), Arabic manuscript in brown thuluth, interlinear translation to Persian in red nasta'liq, single column in 12 lines, illuminated surah heading, elaborately decorated in gold, green and orange, one decorated marginal ornament to recto, also in gold, verses marked with circular gold roundels, very slight worming along upper and lower edges, some very slight water-staining visible along outer edge, not affecting text, very slight finger soiling and offsetting, framed and glazed, folio (c.420x310mm), [Ottoman], [16th cent.].
