Approximately 11½" tall. Engraved: "The White House Trophy, American Legion Tournament, 1920, Best Gross Score. Won by Al R. Espinosa. Hallmark of K.S. Co. on base. Espinosa won nine times on the PGA Tour in the 1920s and 1930s. He was on the 1927, 1929, and 1931 Ryder Cup teams although he did not play in 1927. He lost to Leo Diegel in the 1928 PGA Championship finals. In 1929, he tied with Bobby Jones in the U.S. Open but lost by 23 strokes in the 36-hole playoff. He won the Mexican Open four times. Lot Amendments Condition: Some light scratching, a few nicks to silver plate; very good. Item number: 200319
