Siddur Beit Ya'akov, Ashkenazi tradition, three parts – Siddur Kol-bo, with commentaries, halachot and halachic rulings, Tehillim and Ma'amadot, Passover Haggada and Tikun Leil Shavuot. By Rabbi Ya'akov Emden – the Ya'avetz. Warsaw, [1889]. Printed by Rabbi Yisrael Alafin [stereotype edition of the 1881 Warsaw edition. 1881 is written on both title pages. On verso of the first title page is a censor authorization from 1889. Many stamps of Rabbi Yerucham Fishel Perlow: "Juda perla - warschau", and "Juda fiscel perla – warschau". Rabbi Yerucham Fishel Perlow of Warsaw (1846-1934), renowned Torah scholar who in his later years immigrated to Jerusalem. A Torah prodigy, with remarkable erudition. Earning a living from commerce, he was not compelled to serve in the rabbinate. He was famous for his great work on Sefer HaMitzvot by Rabbi Sa'adia Ga'on and for his glosses printed in the margins of various books. 536 pages; 114, 195-216, 127-258 pages; 68 pages. Approximately 23 cm. Brittle, dry paper, fair condition, wear and tears, detached leaves. Signs of major use [wax candle drippings on Seder Bedikat Chametz and on Hatlakat Ner Chanuka]. Non-contemporary binding.
