SIBELIUS, Jean (1865-1957). Autograph musical quotation signed ('Jean Sibelius'), 26 January 1924, inscribed to 'Pikku Ursulalle' [little Ursula], 8 bars in two staves for piano, marked 'Andantino', complete with expression and pedalling markings, on one leaf, 155 x 235mm (small loss to upper left corner; remnants of tape on margins of verso, with some show-through at upper and lower margins); with a black and white portrait photograph signed ('Jean Sibelius') and inscribed on mount to Mrs Setala, the image 150 x 110mm (mount stained and browned). 'Little Ursula' was the daughter, and Mrs Setala the wife, of Eemil Nestor Setala, Finnish Foreign Minister in 1926; the Setalas were neighbours and friends of Sibelius. (2)
