Rabbi Alter Menachem Mendel Hager (1897-1944, Otzar Ha-rabanim 2972; Encyclopedia of Chassidut, A, 131-132), son of Rabbi Pinchas Hager of Borsha. [Son in law of "Ahavat Yisrael" of Vizhnitz through his first marriage]. In 1924 served as Av-Beit-Din of Borsha (Maramuresh) with his father. In 1941 succeeded his father as Admor. Murdered in the holocaust. Rabbi Ya'akov Yossef Weiss of Spinka was his son in law. 40.5cm. Poor condition, moth holes and wear damages. Some leaves are greenish-grey. Binding damaged and worn.
