27.75" (ni shaku, san sun san bu) shinogi-zukuri blade with chu kissaki (medium point) and ihori-mune (ridged back). Suguha hamon (temper) with itame hada (straight grain) tending towards muji. 7" nakago (tang), with one mekugi-ana (peg hole), and kiri-yasurime. Unsigned. Mounts are of typical gunto form with two-piece silver habaki (collar) and painted wood saya (scabbard). Condition: Blade has some scattered oxidation and minor rust on small areas of the cutting edge. Some minor delamination of metal. Tang has a dark, untouched, dry brown patina.
