An attractive vellum-bound autograph book containing a collection of over 90 Second Dail admission tickets, mostly August 1921, mostly signed by the person authorising admission, signatures include Michael Collins Eamon de Valera, Robert Barton, Erskine Childers, W.T. Cosgrave, Cathal Brugha, Sean McEntee, Liam O Maoil�osa [Mellows], P. O Maille, Eoin Ua Dubhthaigh [O'Duffy], R. Ua Maolcatha [Mulcahy], etc. etc., also a few other signed items including an IRA Convention admission ticket (March 1922) signed by Rory O'Connor (leader of the Four Courts garrison, executed December 1922). A fascinating collection which must have been assembled by someone collecting Dail tickets at the door, including the signatures of many people who did not survive the Civil War. Some of the tickets have biographical details and photographic images added. The autograph book itself is meticulously made, with leather ties and hand painted cover, on the model of the great Irish monastic books. Undoubtedly a unique item, and of great interest.
