SCOTT, ROBERT F. ALS An autograph letter, on headed "80 Queens Road, Chelsea, S.W. [London]" notepaper, dated Jan 11th [no year given], to "Wrench", and signed "Robt. F. Scott". Letter reads: "My dear Wrench, I shall be delighted to see you at my office on Monday any time between 11 and 1.30. The office is in the old London University Building, Burlington Gardens (immediately behind Burlington House). The building is being redecorated but the porter will shew you my rooms". Overall approx. 175x225mm when opened. Old horizontal fold. Second leaf of letter appears to be very slightly lighter in tone than the first leaf (as if the signature had possibly been on display at some point), but nevertheless an excellent item. "Wrench" is possibly Sir John Evelyn Leslie Wrench, who famously gifted Scott a clean handkerchief in New Zealand immediately before the latter's departure for the South Pole. Please see our auction website for high-res images.
