Title printed in red and black and engraved portrait of Schott on verso, engraved coat-of-arms, engraved additional title and 60 engraved plates, some folding (endpapers renewed.) Contemporary blind-stamped vellum, spines ink lettered. FIRST EDITION. "Contains descriptions of the aerostatic experiments of Guericke and Boyle, perpetual motion machines, diving bell, chronometer, barometer, etc. etc." (Duveen). BM/STC German (17th-c.)
