DSP. An incredibly scarce and very desirable sized Circa 1930's Porcelain Service Station Sign from Signal Gasoline showing a black Stoplight graphic as well as iconic Signal Gas script with red, black and yellow porcelain. This is a very unusual size sign from Signal that rarely comes available for sale. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent color & gloss throughout the field with an incredibly clean Stoplight graphic as well as clean Signal Gas script. Side one shows a few light surface scratches as well as some minor areas of light cloudiness in the black, most of which is not noticeable when hung. Side one shows one dime sized chip under the "N" of Signal that has been nicely color matched and the outer edge shows light chipping at a few of the mounting holes as well as a quarter sized chip at the far right edge. Overall side one displays outstanding, Grade 8.9+. Side two is also in outstanding condition throughout showing outstanding color and gloss as well as a clean graphic with clean Signal script. Side two shows four areas of very light chipping in the field, two of which have been color matched nicely. Side two also shows some very faint surface scratches and light cloudiness in the black, most of which is not noticeable. Side two shows light chipping at the outer edge mounting holes as well as a couple of minor areas of light wear at the outer edge but overall outstanding, Grade 8.9+. Sign is mounted in a newly made metal ring that has been nicely painted in red and displays the Sign very well. An absolutely outstanding example of this very rare and highly sought after sign from Signal Gasoline.
