Principally comprising the diaries of Princess Ida of Saxe Coburg Meiningen (who married Duke Charles Bernard of Saxe Weimar Eisenach in 1816), c. 1808-50; schoolroom manuscript books relating to her sister Adelheid (later Queen Adelaide, wife of William IV), including small notebook of botanical watercolours; and items relating to other royal ladies including Princess Louise (diary of a journey to England in 1829, mentioning Bushey Park, visits to Strawberry Hill, Covent Garden, the Zoo, British Museum etc.) Also an album containing royal signatures inc. Queen Victoria (1837).
