Condition : small nick to lower spine. first edition, one of only 300 copies, eliot's mother's own copy, inscribed by eliot's sisters , "To Mr & Mrs Bailey / whose sympathy / sustained us in sorrow / Marian E. Eliot / Margaret D. Eliot." Laid in is a typed letter signed from T.S. Eliot to R.W. Hansen on a single air-mail style sheet of Faber and Faber letterhead, explaining the association between Eliot's sisters and the Baileys. Also laid in is a Christmas card bought by Eliot's mother containing a note from Margaret to Mrs. Bailey.
