A group of five gilt Satsuma vases of various sizes, the largest with squared body and twin handles, decorated with Kannon and Buddhist figures with undulating dragon, marked Hododa (ht. 7.5, wd. 3.25, dp. 3.25 in.); one smaller with squared form and cobalt ground, each side with reserve with both interior and exterior scenes of men and women, marked (worn but appears to be Hododa) (ht. 6.25, wd. 2.75, dp. 2.75 in.); one Satsuma-style vase decorated with reserves filled with scenes of Kannon and Buddhist figures, ground comprised of a patchwork of colored panels with varying gilt patterns, marked (ht. 4, dia. 3.75 in.); one small vase decorated with Buddhist figures with intertwined dragon, marked (ht. 3.75, dia. 2.25 in.); one small bud vase decorated with two reserves of differing shapes, each with interior scenes of women and children, the ground filled with flowers and vines, shoulder decorated with stylized field with gold flowers and insects, marked (ht. 3.5, dia. 1.75 in.).
