Sarawak Covers and Cancellations 1889 (5 Mar.) envelope registered to Switzerland, bearing 1871 3c. and 1875 4c. to 12c., all cancelled by " sarawak" 26mm. c.d.s., arrival c.d.s. " 7 xi 98" (year date error) on reverse; two creases clear of the adhesives. An unusual cover as it should have been also franked with Straits Settlements stamps for onward transmission from Singapore but no tax appears to have been charged or collected.
