(A few creases, short marginal tear, some marginal staining.) The Mappe-Monde is one of the first to distinguish the Great Lakes. “Based largely on Jesuit reports, Lac Superior and Lac des puans… for Lake Michigan are here introduced…” (Shirley 390).
