SANSON D'ABBEVILLE, Nicolas (1600-1667). L'Amerique en plusiers cartes nouvelles et exactes... tables geographiques pour l'intelligence des cartes de la description de l'Univers . Paris: [1683]. Small 4° (228 x 170mm). Two parts in one volume, two section titles, 15 double-page engraved maps of the Americas by A. de Winter, 120pp tables geographiques. [ bound with :] Nicolas BION (1652-1733). L'Usage des Globes celestes et terrestres, et des spheres . Amsterdam: François Halma, 1700. Title printed in red and black, 14 engraved astronomical plates only (of 15), several folding. The two works in one volume, contemporary calf (lightly rubbed, spine worn, lower compartment torn away). An interesting Sammelband combining the 1683 Paris reissue of Sanson's of America with Bion's famous treatise on globes. The America section is normally found bound with its companion sections on Asia and Europe as issued. Pastoureau Sanson 11F.
