ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPT ON VELLUM, 33 pages on 22 leaves, all on linen guards, written in a fine upright semi-gothic hand in black, with illuminated full-page portrait frontispiece framed with an elaborate border and 4 cherubs, title decorated with an elaborate initial A filled with a portrait of Annabel Lee and a full border in blake green and burnished gold, with ink penwork, 4 full-page illuminations and 3 half-page or smaller illuminations, 16 large initial, some with full border, others with elaborate border extensions in gilt, blue, green, white, black, and 12 small initials with the same elaborate coloring, with silk guards between each leaf. A JEWELLED BINDING SET WITH 31 JEWELS INCLUDING 4 AMETHYSTS 7 RUBIES AND 24 SEED PEARLS by Riviere and Son, contemporary turquies morocco, upper cover with a sunken panel, inlaid with a gilt decorated brown morocco American Eagle, the eye set with a Ruby, holding a brown and turquies shield with Poe's gilt initials, on a gilt floral ground, the upper panel filled with dots and stars, surrounded by an elaborated strapwork border, the panels filled with a floral design of green, ivory, brown and red morocco inlays, the outer border filled with gilt dots and a floral design, 10 panels of the interesecting strapwork filled with a red morocco inlay decorated with Jewels, the oval center of lower cover filled with gilt lettered titles of the poems, sorrounded by two elaborate borders of turquies, red, black, yellow, brown, and green morocco inlays gilt, to an elaborate floral design, spine gilt in six compartments, gilt lettered in two; light brown morocco doublures with an elaborate floral and strapwork border, of variously colored morocco inlays, silk linings. A MASTERPIECE OF JEWELED BINDING, AND A VERY FINE MANUSCRIPT. The colophon statement reads: "This manuscript Poems by Edgar Allan Poe, "Annabel Lee," "To the River," "Dream Land," "The Sleeper," "To One in Paradise," "Fairy Land," was designed, written out, and illuminated by Alberto Sangorski, for Messrs R.
