Sultan Morat or Amurat IV, Sultan Ibrahim, and Sultan Mahomet IV . London: J.D. for Tho. Bassett, R. Clavell, J. Robinson and A. Churchill, 1687. 3 parts in one volume, 2 (376 x 230mm). Engraved portrait frontispiece after Peter Lely and 3 plates (? only, of 4, some light browning, rust spot causing small holes in S2 and 2P4, the latter leaf losing one character in headline, quire 2C with worm track at lower margin, 2C3 with lower corner torn away, 2H3 torn at lower margin, 2S1 slightly stained). [ Bound with :] P. RYCAUT. The Present State of the Ottoman Empire . London: J.D., 1687. 2 (376 x 230mm.) (Some light browning, I4 with tiny hole, K1 soiled at outer margin, N4 verso affected by small ink splashes.) Contemporary calf (newly-rebacked and panelled in blind, corners worn). Second edition of the first work, which first appeared in 1680 as a supplement to Richard Knolles's Generall Historie of the Turkes , 1603. The third part is by Sir Roger Manley. Contemporary mottled calf (rebacked uniformly with the previous volume and panelled in blind, corners rubbed).
