Russiae vulgo Moscovia Pars Australis, map centered on Moscow, prepared by the mapmaker Isaac Massa, with four figures and the Russian coat of arms upper left, and further characters surrounding the scales lower right, engraving on laid paper with indistinct watermark, platemark 385 x 525 mm. (15 1/4 x 20 3/4 in), sheet 505 x 585 mm. (20 x 23 in), Latin text verso, central vertical fold as issued, minor marginal nicks and tears, printers' crease in lower margin, unframed, [circa 1650]; together with 18 further maps of Russia, including Sanson's 'Sarmatia Utraque Europaea et Asiatica', [circa 1670], Ortelius's miniature 1593 map 'Russiae Moscoviae Tartariae Descriptio Autore Antonio Jenkensono', and others, engravings and lithographs, some with hand-colouring, various sizes, all unframed, 16th to 19th century (19).
