Folio (300x215 mm). Engraved frontispiece after Bonavera engraved by D. Bon, (10) pp. Three engraved vignettes (of which one of Versailles), three woodcut initials. Frontispiece with some soiling to margin. Contemporary brown morocco gilt, covers and spine with deocrative gilt fleur-de-lys and the letter "L", in the middle of the covers gilt arms of Louis XIV of both covers, richly gilt spine in compartments, red title label and gilt edges (binding slightly worn, split inner joints, title label damaged, endpapers dampstained). About ten pages with a smaller dampstain to inner margin, otherwise some minor soiling. With owner's notes in pencil on inside of upper cover. The work is dedicated to Louis XIV. Photo.
