A group of five typed letters signed ("Franklin D Roosevelt," one with secretarial signature) from various phases of his public and business career; all but one to the Reverend Howard C. Robbins, of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York -- ROOSEVELT. Letter signed to C. Dinwiddie of the National Child Labor Committee, Washington, D.C., 27 January 1934, 1 page, 4to, "White House" stationery, ON CHILD LABOR. "...With the adoption of the Textile Code last July, I think we all realized that the end of child labor in America was at hand. There is, however, a great deal to be done to ensure that the standards set by that code...are made permanent..." -- ROOSEVELT. Letter signed, New York, 12 January 1927, 1 page, 4to, "Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland" stationery , sending a book containing his "'preachment' to the boys at Milton School...I hope you will not feel, as some of my conservative friends do, that I am altogether too hopeful for the coming generation." -- ROOSEVELT.
