A mixed group of cast bronze handles comprising: a dolphin-shaped handle from a wine-vessel with bearded bust of Silenus, with custom-made display stand; a recurved loop handle with three transverse ribs to the centre. Bronze, 106 grams, 81-93 mm including stand. Very fine condition. [2] Provenance Property of a Hampshire Gentleman; acquired before 1990; with old dealer tickets, giving descriptions and findspots etc.; the Silenus handle found in the Balkans, the other found in the Rhineland.
