Rollsiegel aus rotem Jaspis. Neo-babylonisch, ca. 900 - 700 v. Chr. H 2,2cm, ø 0,8cm. Mit vertikaler Bohrung. Die Abrollung zeigt einen Mann mit Krummsäbel im Kampf mit einer geflügelten Sphinx, dazwischen eine Raute über einer Mondsichel, auf beiden Seiten von Palmen gerahmt. Provenienz: Ex Sammlung Karl Jakob Müller, Frankfurt a.M., 1950 - 1977. Red jasper cylinder seal shows a man with a scimitar in battle with a winged sphinx, in between a diamond, above a crescent framed on both sides by palm trees. Neo-assyrian, about 900 - 700 B.C.
