(Spotted, some marginal staining, heavier at end, a few wormholes affecting a little text, blank corner of last leaf repaired.) Contemporary blindstamped pigskin over bevelled wooden boards, panelled sides with Laubstab, eagle, lily, flower and fleur-de-lis stamps (not in Kyriss or Schwenke-Sammlung ), two fore-edge clasps (small wormholes, tears at spine). Provenance : 'de gloriam deo liber meus' in a contemporary hand. FIRST EDITION, and Amerbach's first dated book. Reuchlin compiled his Latin vocabulary when only 20 years of age as an aid in raising classical standards. It proved immensely popular and went through at least 20 editions by the end of the 15th century. De arte punctandi is also attributed to Guillaume Fichet (cf.
