Rubricated throughout with lombard initials, capital strokes and occasional paragraph marks in red. Period blind roll-tooled half pigskin over plain beech boards. Lacking k3 & k8 but supplied in exactly period near-facsimile manuscript (and uniformly rubricated), occasional soiling and light staining, two wormholes affecting a few letters, last few leaves dog-eared, very few closed tears, lower board renewed. EDITIO PRINCEPS AND AMERBACH'S FIRST DATED BOOK. Reuchlin was an important early figure in German humanism. His was the most popular Latin dictionary of the incunable period.
