Based on van Geel's Sertum Botanicum (Brussels 1827-32) with the German text by Reichenbach. A valuable contemporary record of recently introduced ornamental trees, shrubs, and flowering plants, overseen by the “Société de Botanistes,” and reflecting the growing strength of botanical research in Belgium at this period.
