Raymond Mays - An Album & Historic Record A large volume, comprising circa 23,000 words of manuscript about the life and work of Raymond Mays, written with a blue and black pen in a secretary hand by Michael Parr after the death of Mays' in 1980, having become good friends from 1964. The book comprises about 100 photographs, many (according to the hand-written frontispiece) coming direct from Mays himself. There would appear to be about 35 featuring ERA, about 65 featuring BRM and a selection of others and photocopies. Most of the monochrome photographs are captioned, the text appearing to have been confirmed by Mays. The text starts the story in 1920 with the purchase of the Hillman 'Speed Model' and appears to end with BRM and other specifications circa 1962.
