A fine 22 carat gold and polychrome enamel quarter repeating verge paircase pocketwatch for the Turkish market with gold and enamel chatelaine Signed Ray & Montague, London, 1810s The gilt chain fusee verge movement with pierced cock and foot, diamond endstone, the silvered regulation disc with Turkish numerals, blued steel set-up, repeating the hours and quarters on a bell by depressing the pendant, with separate dust ring, the white enamel dial also with Turkish numerals, gold hands, the pierced gold inner case with polychrome enamel decoration to the bezel, sides, pendant and back, centred by a painted floral scene on translucent blue guilloche enamel background, the glazed outer case with serpentine rims, opaque polychrome floral decoration, with casemaker's mark AN possibly for Augustus Newman , with polychrome enamel and gold chatelaine containing two flowers, two strawberries and enamel cranked key, spare glass, dial and movement signed 43 mm. diam. London 1818 (2)
