Beschreibung:

Blue line map with hand coloring and a few ms. notes in pencil. 65x52.7 cm (25½x20¾"). Rare real estate map showing the lots available for sale and those sold in North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area located in San Mateo County, California, adjacent to Redwood City, Atherton, and Menlo Park, bounded by Middlefield Road and the "Proposed Boulevard" paralleling the Southern Pacific rail line. The triangular development is divided by Second through Seventh avenues, and perpendicular to those, Park Street. Fair Oaks was a residential area north of Menlo Park. In 1923, Menlo Park attempted to incorporate Fair Oaks first, but instead, Fair Oaks incorporated separately as the town of Atherton. This left North Fair Oaks unincorporated. Today, because of the large number of residents from one Mexican state the area is also known as Little Michoacán. No copies are located in OCLC, and no other maps of North Fair Oaks are recorded. A unique item.
