Images approx. 17x21 cm, titled in lower margins with imprint "Photo-Chromo-Lith. Britton & Rey, S.F." Plates measure 23x26.5 cm (9x10½"), string-tied into plain wrappers. Rare, unrecorded series of color lithographs of photographs. The catalog for the David A. Hanson Collection of the History of Photomechanical Reproduction notes that "Britton and Rey produced these images which they titled Photo-Chromes, though they are fairly awkward chromophotolithographs. This firm remains the only west coast printer that engaged in extensive photomechanical work." In the collection is a 1902 item "Welcome, La Fiesta de las Flores, Los Angeles, May 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 1902", the only copy listed in OCLC. It has 8 leaves of plates and is similar in size to the present work. We can find no copies in OCLC of the work here offered. The images include: Cliff House and Seal Rocks San Francisco (small tears bottom and right edges) University Of California Berkeley Ocean Bluff, Santa Cruz (small tear right edge) Devil's Gulch Falls, Marin Co. Glimpse Of Grounds, Hotel Del Monte San Francisco From Russian Hill
