Son visage est serein, sa coiffe transparente. Il est flanqué d'un petit chien blanc et accompagné de Houyi au visage féroce, tenant un bâton, un arc accroché à son flanc. A ses côtés se trouve son élève Feng Meng qui porte également un arc. Un dignitaire tenant un sceptre complète la scène. Les extrémités du rouleau sont en bois sculpté et laqué ; usures.
